Hope is an inspiration. She was born at the shelter in Sep 2025, and suffered a head trauma a couple of weeks later. She had a stroke and shouldn’t have survived. Her strong willpower, plus quick action from Bernard, saw her not only get better but fully recover.

Now, looking at her, you’d never know she had a stroke. There have been no relapses or residual signs. She’s a typical kitten, spunky, affectionate, knows what she wants and how to get it!

Hope has grown up with other kittens and cats, and has been around quite a few of the volunteers. She is very social and has grown out of the naughty kitten stage.

Besides doing cute things like chasing her tail, she’s also very watchful and smart. Hope has also been living with an older, blind dog at the shelter. It’s not uncommon for her to keep a close eye on the dog as she walks around the room, sometimes guiding her away from obstacles.

Hope loves to try different foods, and is happy playing or simply lying by the window in the sun.

Hope is an indoor-only cat and would suit any household with children from primary school age.   She would also do well with another kitten of similar age.
